Polyurethane foam mainly constists of polyol and isocyanate. Polyurethane-ether foams are mostly used, when there is a requirement for elasticity.  For instance for upholstery, mattrasses but also for vehicle seats. There are ether-based foams ranging from 16 to far over 160 kg/m3 .The material performs better in wet conditions than polyester-based polyurethane foams. The weight and required strength of the material are needed in order to specify the products. There are further requirements from the area of fire protection and emissions. These materials can be cut and blanked. Foils – or adhesive laminations often complete the product.
